Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House is a "home away from home" for families with ill children receiving medical treatment from hospitals. This allows families from all over to reside in this home in order to focus on their child's needs and health rather than worrying about expensive hotel costs or long commutes to hospitals.

Our chapter participates in volunteer trips to the Ronald McDonald House in San Francisco. Working with the Ronald McDonald House gives Alpha Delta Pi chapters all across America a common goal for the general good and welfare of others. In 1979 Alpha Delta Pi adopted the Ronald McDonald House Charities as it’s national philanthropy.

How Does Our Sisterhood Contribute?

Along with making several visits a year to volunteer at the RMH, Theta Gamma has donated thousands of dollars through our philanthropy events that we hold. In the Fall, we hold Run for Ronald for the community to participate in the 5K and/or Fun Run. Our sisters provide support for stops/stations and cheer participants. In Spring, we encourage the community to send a rose to their special someone during our Roses for Ronald event. Sisters table, serenade other Greek Chapters, and hand deliver roses purchased for Valentines Day. Roses are sold for single/five/dozen along with a handwritten message. Throughout the entire academic year, our chapter collects pop tabs from our sisters and others for donation towards RMHC.

The Ronald McDonald House is very near and dear to our hearts, Theta Gamma loves nothing more than supporting such a phenomenal philanthropy!
